Celebrating the Heart and Stories of Brazil

The San Francisco Brazilian Film Festival is a new annual celebration of Brazilian cinema, bringing the richness, creativity, and diversity of Brazil’s stories to audiences in the Bay Area.

Taking place during Latino Heritage Month, September 23–27, 2026, at the historic Vogue Theatre in San Francisco, the inaugural festival will showcase a curated selection of Brazilian films that reflect the many voices, cultures, landscapes, and experiences that make Brazil one of the world’s most vibrant cinematic traditions.

From powerful social dramas and documentaries to contemporary stories of identity, resilience, love, and belonging, the festival aims to create a bridge between Brazilian filmmakers and Bay Area audiences while celebrating the universal language of film.
