Mission
“I built this festival independently because I wanted to bring Brazilian cinema to San Francisco in a way that goes beyond the Brazilian community — to introduce Bay Area audiences to the incredible filmmakers, stories, cultures, and voices coming out of Brazil”.
— Zanna de Sant’Anna, Founder & Festival Director, Cinema Brazil
As quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle
Help Brazilian Cinema Thrive in the Bay Area
In September 2026, we welcomed audiences to the inaugural San Francisco Brazilian Film Festival!
Now we need your support. Every contribution helps Cinema Brazil bring Brazilian stories, filmmakers, and culture to our community.
Your support helps us grow beyond the festival, with year-round screenings, filmmaker conversations, and cultural programs that connect people through cinema.
